Mexico Part Uno

We're back! We had 12 days in the sun in Cancun, Mexico thanks to Nola! We had a great time lounging by the pool, by the beach, reading books and hanging out at Nola's posh resort (first time for this type of vacation for us).

We stayed at the Grand Mayan, where we had 5 pools to choose from, restaurants and really nice rooms. We had a kitchenette so we managed to cook a lot of our own meals.

We relaxed and read a lot, ate fish tacos and had virgin fruity drinks by the pool.
We took a couple of day tours and went snorkelling, visited ruins and went to a market. Cancun is much more expensive than a lot of other Mexican destinations though so we didn't come back with a whole lot other than memories of the vendors calling to us that their wares were so cheap they were "almost free", or "better than Walmart".

We are now back safe and sound, trying to re-adjust to winter, looking for a new washing machine (ours broke with the first load of vacation laundry we tried to do), getting ready for Christmas and catching up at work.

More Mexico pictures to come!

6 months and counting!!!

Here Terra is 6 months and growing. Little sprout is getting bigger and bigger each week. Sprout is particularly feisty and continually is punching and kicking Terra all day and night!!

The evening entertainment consists of watching Terra's belly moving about with little fists and feet. Pretty cool.

You can see that the animals are already getting jealous of baby. Kona decided to jump into this photo to finally get a little attention.

Well winter has finally arrived with 10cm of snow and -14C temperatures. Luckily for us, we are heading off to the sun and surf of Cancun for 10 days. One last babymoon with Grandma Nola before we will be staying put until sprout is born.

Sprout is already a world traveller with trips to Alabama and Georgia, Pacific Ocean, and now Mexico. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!

Little Mamma loves Sprout

The knitting has started!
Thanks to my friend Dana who sent me a whole box full of leftover sock yarn all the way from Victoria B.C., I am churning out mini socks and they are so much fun!
They probably won't fit Sprout until about 6 months (unless those little feet are really huge), but I am having a blast knitting away thinking of the little Sprout that is growing daily!
Little Mamma is not so little anymore at 23 weeks, and yoga is not what it used to be. However I am taking swimming lessons now and while I've never been much of a swimmer, I am loving my weekly pool sessions in the saltwater pool by our house.
I can now feel tons of movement as Sprout kicks and moves, especially first thing in the morning and right before bed.

Stay tuned for pictures of Sprout's room and other fun!
